Poverty Increases in Honduras
Tegucigalpa, Aug 12 (Prensa Latina) More than 200,000 people were incorporated to thepoverty rate report during the first six months of this year, unveiled the Social Forum on Foreign Debt and Development of Honduras (Fosdeh).
According to statements by the institution to local media, since January 2015 thousands of Hondurans live in worse conditions than before.
Last May, Fosdeh issued a report describing as stagnated the fight against poverty in the country.
Poors represent the 54.6 percent of Hondurans, while 28.2 percent have a situation of vulnerability, so the 82.8 percent of the population live in precarious conditions.
A new strategy to help people of fewer resources is necessary, demanded Fosdeh director, Mauricio Diaz.
