Poll: 75% think Venezuela goes in the wrong direction

As much as 75.1% of the Venezuelan population believes things are going in the wrong direction in the country, according to a survey entitled "Gestión de gobierno y coyuntura política" (governance and political situation) conducted by the Venezuelan Institute of Data Analysis (IVAD) among 800 individuals across the Venezuelan territory until September 29.

The survey focused mainly on the economic subject, where 84.1% of individuals agreed that the country is going through an economic crisis. Meanwhile, short supply and scarcity (73.5%), insecurity (71.6%), and cost of living (35.8%) ranked among the top problems facing the country.

Forty percent of those polled agreed that the president should resign and new elections be called. In terms of governance, 21.1% of individuals termed it bad, while 31.4% described it as poor, totaling 52.5% of negative perception.

IVAD also noted that 45.2% of Venezuelans would rather vote for the candidates of the opposition coalition in the next parliamentary election against 27.6% who would vote pro-government candidates, while 27.2% did not know or did not answer.

I would really love to see your faces when you finally go to Venezuela yourselves and realize how far better off you are living in a first-world nation. It's kind of sad how you don't really appreciate what you have.
