PROGRESO WEEKLY: Is U.S. turning to Israel for help with Gross?

Is U.S. turning to Israel for help with Gross?

It would not be unreasonable to speculate that the U.S. is inviting a third party — or even a mediator — into the Gross quandary. Shoham speaks English and Spanish fluently and has the experience necessary to engage in a dialogue that would certainly involve the three members of The Cuban Five who still remain in U.S. prisons. (Read “A prisoner exchange that could improve U.S.-Cuba relations” elsewhere in this issue of Progreso Weekly.)

Cuban citizens as political prisoners here, and under horrendous conditions, as well.

There's a country in the Western Hemisphere which has "earned" the identity of maintaining the world's largest per capita prison population, and that certainly isn't Cuba, is it?

It's a matter which is easily solved by simple good citizenship. Stop trying to overthrow Cuba, among other countries in the Western Hemisphere. Stop sending Alan Grosses there. Release some good, heroic men to return to their families and a thankful population.
