after all, we have it on good authority by our resident Venezuela truther that the benevolent VNG has never shot any of those filthy, facist students.

Indeed it was, however only if you are familiar with Kent State. To a person unfamiliar with Kent State numerous other plausible scenarios arise. Run over by car, passed out drunk, fainted, acting class, stupid prank, catch a few zzzs between classes. Nowhere in the photo itself is there an evidence that National Guard troops are shooting at protesters. In fact, since there is no video and therefore no sounds of gunfire, I would guess that getting shot by the National Guard troops would be the guess of very very very few people who were asked to interpret what happened in that photo.

but flare ups are persistent. i knew that the chavista gov was inept, criminal, and corrupt but didn't realize how much discontent there was among the populace.
