OMG! Hillary got a standing ovation from the press and the freepers are literally nuts! You would think the world has come to an end. Here is a quote right from freeperville............"Democrats are going to put that old crow in the White House and she is going to turn it over to Bill." I love old crows!

(12,608 posts)Now, I don't care what the weather man says
When the weather man says it's raining
You'll never hear me complaining, I'm certain the sun will shine
I don't care how the weather vane points
When the weather vane points to gloomy
It's gotta be sunny to me, when your eyes look into mine
Freepers Creepers, where'd ya get those peepers?
Freepers Creepers, where'd ya get those eyes?
Gosh all git up, how'd they get so lit up?
Gosh all git up, how'd they get that size?
Golly gee! When you turn those heaters on, woe is me
Got to get my cheaters on, Freepers Creepers
Where'd ya get those peepers? On, those weepers
How they hypnotize, where'd ya get those eyes?
Where'd ya get those eyes? Where'd ya get those eyes?

(30,058 posts)an old crow, WTH. George H W Bush was 64 when he was elected and now age is important. They can't beat Hillary with anyone mentioned for the office, guess they have to produce some worthy candidates.

(12,618 posts)I mean come on, Scott Walker, Ted Cruz, Jeb Bush, these are the best you can do? LOL. I by no means think Hillary is an unbeatable candidate. But against the current crop of losers that you guys are fielding? LOL. You might as well just give her the White House.

While Hillary sits by the pool doing her nails and drinking gin nimbu pani, Bill will be getting BJs while building a surplus.... so that later president Santorum can give us $300 back.
Or something....

Tell them they are the brave, righteous, oppressed minority who's ideas have NEVER actually been tried except ONCE and that was under Saint Ronney when America was Eden II. (Minus the nudity).

(1,604 posts)Pompous overconfidence is a loser, for it breeds complacency. The outcome of the 2016 election is NOT a foregone conclusion. Ridiculing and belittling the opposition is a complete waste of time in the absence of a concomitant GOTV effort. While we scoff, throw darts, and engage in petty politics, the right wing digs in, organizes, networks, and gets out the vote.
Complacency born of arrogance is a recipe for a low turnout election--and such elections tend to favor extremists (e.g., Ted Cruz primary runoff). Amid overconfident Dems in Iowa, I recently witnessed the defeat of Rep. Bruce Braley (IA-D) by Joni Ernst, and it did not surprise me in the least. I predicted it well in advance.
Instead of ridiculing and belittling opponents, we need to be building energy and engaging people with issues that are meaningful to their lives. If not, come election day many of our voters will sit home thinking "we've got it in the bag, so why bother to vote."
The other side, pissed off and intent on reclaiming "their country," will swarm like angry hornets to the polls.
My point: petty ridiculing and dismissal of engaged and angry conservative voters is the worst possible expenditure of our energies. There are much more constructive avenues for the use of time and thought--and we better get with the program.
Just sayin'.
