Hillary celebrates the great Ann Richards

on her birthday:

Hillary Clinton
12 mins ·

Born September 1, 1933, Ann Richards was the first woman to be elected governor of Texas in her own right. But she was more than a glass ceiling breaker herself—her mission was to open up the government to everyone and to leave no one behind. A feminist icon who told it like it is, we’re celebrating Ann for her commitment to fighting for women and families.

2nd pic - did not realize how much Cecile looks like her mother.

3rd pic - I have not seen it before. That is really really great. Does anyone know when/where it was taken.

Jennifer Granholm at the convention giving that powerful speech,I was watching with my Mom and said to her "she sounds like she's channeling Ann Richards",my Mom got tears in her eyes and said "God, I miss her!". We both got a little verklempt .Some people leave a huge hole when they're gone, both Ann Richards and Molly Ivins were those kind of people.
