I'm delighted to see that my birth state is getting some attention from the Dem candidates.

HELENA -The two Democratic candidates for president clearly aren't ignoring Montana any more.

Both Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders are opening campaign offices in the state.

The Clinton campaign opened an organizing office in Helena on Friday and the Sanders campaign said it plans to open its Montana headquarters in Missoula on Saturday.

HELENA — Rep. Jenny Eck has been named as state director of the Hillary for Montana campaign, officials said Monday, adding she will lead a team that will engage Montana voters in conversations about Democratic presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton.

The longtime Montana resident has worked as interim director for Carol’s List, an organization dedicated to electing progressive women in Montana. Eck worked in consumer protection at the Montana Attorney General’s Office.

In the 2008 Obama campaign, she was the volunteer coordinator for Lewis and Clark County. Eck then worked as a legislative researcher for the Montana Democratic Party before becoming committee secretary to the House Judiciary Committee.
