Keep Kucinich in Congress.

There is a grass roots effort in Washington State to Keep Kucinich in Congress.. No matter where Kucinich lives he works for peace, prosperity , and workers.. His voice is vital. Example.. Take the latest GOP effort at more deregulation .. The GOP jobs bill.. Euphemistically by the Gobbers called "Jump Start the Economy".. Just more Wall Street Deregulation..

....Kucinich was only 1 of 17 to vote no.. You can always count on Kucinich to do the brave thing. He is a National Treasure ..His opponent in the recent Ohio Primary voted ,YES...

And what is the nature of the district in which Kucinich would run.. Some Congressional districts are tailor made for certain people. There are probably a score of districts about the country where a draft movement would welcome as honest and brave a person as is Kucinich.. I'd gladly oust my stale , pussy footed Dem congress member for Kucinich in a heart beat.

5. I guess I misunderstood the nature of the petition

If they are petitioning Dennis to run for re-election then I'm all in favor. I had thought that the petition was to try and overturn the results of the election that he lost, that's why I was thinking "good luck with that".

2. IMO, he'd need to move here and get acquainted with local acitivists and causes--

--before running for anything. State legislator is another possibility. With a congressional pension, its part-time status might well be more appealing. He'd be great as an advocate for our state single payer bill or for the state bank proposal.

All grassroots. The problem here will be the same as the entire state, hate radio.

We need to realize that issue junkies are a fairly small percentage of the voting population.

As an example, Kucinich mostly had to compete in Kaptur's old district.. Once an incumbent is entrenched , the odds are more uphill...
The district Kucinich might be drafted to is without an incumbent.?

10. 6th District, Tacoma, Pierce co. area Wash. State

Our congressman Norm Dicks is leaving us. He has served us well and will be greatly missed. We are a diverse district with a lot of military activity that will need looking after. Could Dennis Kuccinich fill Norm's shoe? Doubtful because THOSE shoes will never be filled by anyone else!

That said, Congressman Kuccinich will find a great many progressives here and even a sizeable group of Ron Paul supporters who would like to see Kuccinich as his V. P. (love you Congressman Kuccinich but our President will be getting my vote again.) Although I am not overly familiar with the voting demographic of the 6th District, I suspect Dennis Kuccinich could make a good run at being our next Congressman.
