A 55-year-old African Grey named Tarbu, believed to be the world’s oldest pet parrot, has now flown off for good, but not before chirping a poignant last word: “Cheerio.” Tarbu’s devoted 89-year-old owner, Nina Morgan, said the beloved bird she’d owned since 1957 croaked his chipper sign-off before bedtime.
