I'm not sure that it is amnesia, perhaps something more like an inability to perceive certain things.

The past few years have taught me SO many synonyms for uppity ... I've listened to pundits opine that the Obamas shouldn't vacation in such a "foreign" place as Martha's Vineyard (which, by the way, they AREN'T doing this year thanks to all the spewing right-wing critics). I've had (former) acquaintances send hilarious (???) emails about the guy in the White House "living on the government dime."

8. Overall, I think they are afraid of Obama....

afraid that he will get policies through that will benefit the American people...like the ACA and an improving economy. If the economy continues to improve, that's not good for the republicans....so they do what they can to thwart his efforts.... obstructionism. Also, he's Black, brilliant, charismatic, a genuinely decent and honorable man. That's not good for the republicans......scary, in fact, I would imagine.
