I came back it got worse...never seen so much hyperspeculation in a negative way towards Obama from any other website. I am so happy I now have a place to have an honest and rational discussion of the issues with people who appreciate what Obama has done, know what he's up against and the job that still needs to be done.

I mostly went back into lurk mode as I have no inclination to argue with the folks that do nothing but try to work against this president.

Legitimate disagreement I can take, but the constant negatives and failure to recognize positives just made me shake my head and laugh. I have seen that we already had someone come in and post a negative spin based video (which was cross posted from the Soapbox and thoroughly debunked).

I've kept in touch with a couple of folks who just threw up their hands in frustration that DU2 had become something other than "Democratic". Lots of talking points that came from "you know where".

I hope others, like you, will take a look at DU3 and come out of hiding and know they have a safe place to support Dems and this Democratic president.

I didn't know if it was frustration with DU, or if some had given up on the process itself. I think the concensus seems to be that it was the constant drumbeat of negativity that engulfed us all at DU2.

To me, it had become simply nauseating the amount of lies, distortions and downright idiocy that was posted there. And every single person that I liked and respected either felt the same way or didn't post at all. It was to the point that most of my posting in the last six months or so was just to call out the BS of some the site's most "prominent" posters. So much shit being flung around that place it was like an elephant cage.

Like you and a whole bunch of others, I am hopeful that things will improve with the new software and mindset.
