It just really hit me.

A woman is finally going to be the president of the United States. I know that sounds strange because obviously I know Clinton is a woman and she has been campaigning for awhile. I guess I never really thought of her being a female candidate. I just thought of her being a highly qualified candidate. It just hit me how historic this really is. It is message to girls and women that they can achieve their dreams if they work like hell for them. I remember my sexist teacher telling me that there will never be a female president because women shouldn't be in politics. That was when Bill Clinton was near the end of his presidency.

Mrs. 1SBM said, "Wow! I saw the first Black man elected President, and it looks like, I'll see the first woman. It's been a good decade."
