Wimax small computer with edit

Last edited Sun Jun 9, 2013, 03:11 PM - Edit history (1)

Foolish me seems to have lost my laptop computer, so I need a replacement. I used to have a netbook the was given to me by Clear with built in wimax. Took the chip out when it died and had it install in a Dell latitude. That is what disappeared. The guy from Clear said there were some laptops that had wimax installed, but the person at Best Buy said they did not carry them.

My question is: will the ASUS Transformer Prime that was previously recced for me on this forum support a wimax chip if I can find one or does it already have one? If not, is there something similar that will support wimax?

Thanks in advance for all this forum's wisdom.
Best,
Melissa

PS just bought an Asus transformer prime TF 201 used so i am going to find a way to make it work!

There seem to be both USB adapters and internal cards with Wimax capability available. hobbit709 Jun 2013 #1

What they will all work with I don't know, you'd have to look at the manufacturer's specs to see.
