"Frankenstein SCSI box": Freeper IT excellence on display

Still working on the new system. Then he's got to figure a way to get the data off the old system and onto the new. Say's he's cobbling together a Frankenstein SCSI box out of our old servers to get the job done. Then he'll have to do a consistency test which takes hours. Could be up tomorrow afternoon if no more problems pop up.

7. Hey I'm still using SCSI

The Ultra320 drives work well with my 6 core 1090T. I have never had any problems with Windows crashing or losing files.

8. IIRC, SCSI's still popular on the server-side of things.

You don't see it at all in desktop PCs, but you do see it in server rooms and other places where there's a need for "heavy metal".

10. You see it on my desktop pc

I like those 10k and 15k drives and their fast access times. I have two of each plus a large sata drive for storage.

6. you just nailed it--"any idiot"

Freepers, esp. RimJob, left idiocy in the dust years ago.

9. I'm thinking...

...they may need to give up on running a server with Winders'95.
