Can't watch You Tube vids on Windows 7 PC

I don't know a lot about computers but I went to the Intel site and updated the graphics drivers and restarted but it didn't help. Also made sure I've got the latest updates from Microsoft.
The videos will begin to play and I can see the first couple of seconds but then the You Tube video screen goes black and says "an error occurred, try again later". This has been going on for several days and I haven't made any changes to my computer. Any ideas?

Downloaded Chrome browser and YT vids will play using it. Would rather use FF so if anyone can help, I'd appreciate it.

(994 posts)I looked under options and didn't see anything about blocking stuff except popup windows. Tried restoring settings to default. Didn't work. Wah!

(994 posts)But the html5 version did work for me. Thank you for the suggestion. Does that pretty much narrow it down to a problem with Adobe Flash software? I have the latest version.
edit
When I disable hardware acceleration, I can watch YT videos using the Flash version. When I turn it back on, I can only watch using the html5 version.
I got the idea to try that from this page:

(23,220 posts)...but still have WinXP. Went to Adobe's website, and installed an updated Flash player plug-in, and haven't had the issue since........knock on wood.........
to check it, open Firefox, click Tools on menu bar, and select Add-ons. That will bring up a page with a variety of add-ons, with a status message for any that are not current, and give a link to update them.

(994 posts)It works using html5 or when using Chrome so I'll just work around it. I'm so used to FF and I get set in my ways so I hate having to use anything else. Thanks for the help.
