They left it right until the very end. The lady first paired both the male and female lines on screen and then showed beyond reasonable doubt that both matched the dna "pattern" from the skeletal remainsl . Best visual thing I've seen on the news for ages.

Apparently Leicester Uni pioneered dna comparisons of this type.

and what is funny is that apparently Oxford Uni said that they would eat their hats if this turned out to be Richard III. Will they serve red or white with those hats?

Yes, I'm biased - I've been a Ricardian since my teens, but how could anyone think this is the face of a tyrant?

Sad to learn of the degree of scoliosis though - he would have been in pain all day, every day. And apparently he would have had breathing difficulties, which would have got worse as time went on, so it's possible he would not have had a long life anyway.

I hope that more people will now take the trouble to learn more about him (and I suspect the fact that he was good-looking won't hurt him a bit!)
