....is that there has been talk of the Lib Dem's killing off the government's proposals for blatant gerrymandering (ie the proposals for changing constituency boundaries). I hope that exceptionally bad policy does get killed off in the fall out from this.

It's yet another disaster for the Lib Dem's (they must be used to everything Clegg does falling to pieces by now). There is a good case for Lords reform but rushing the bill through the Commons would not have been of any lasting benefit.
