How will the referendum results be announced?

Will there simply be an announcement of a final total after all the votes have been counted?

Or will there be declarations-by-constituency, as there were in the Scottish independence referendum?

There's a post in GD saying BBC World News will be carrying the results programme from 6pm ET (ie 11pm BST, one hour after polls close) in the USA.

from what i've seen, individual results will start tricking in through the night with Sunderland looking to declare first and before midnight BST

the BBC seem to think they'll be able to say stay/go about 4.30-5am from the results in at that time, but the actual result won't be known until 6am or so.

its being run from Manchester, with result collated there and the declaration done there.

unlike election night, i'm not going to stay up, i don't see the point...
