Canadian voters now required to show Conservative Party membership card before voting

OTTAWA - The federal government has recently announced plans to address voter fraud by requiring Canadians to present a Conservative Party membership ID before voting in elections.

“Canadians do not want 39 ways for voters to identify themselves at polling stations”, said Minister of Democratic Reform, Pierre Poilievre. “Now, there’s an easier way for all Canadians to participate in democracy with a Conservative Party membership card.”

Getting to be known as the “Mordor Amendment”, Bill C-23’s change reads as follows:

One card to rule them all, One card to bind them
One card to bring them all and in the majority lead them

Proud Canadians will be able to take hold of this purely democratic tool online on the Conservative Party website at a cost of $15 per year, or as Prime Minister Stephen Harper recommends it himself, at "an absolutely ridiculous deal of $60 for five years of voting for whichever Tory candidate you desire."

yes. Humor is a good thing. Although under harper and his revisions, its getting a little too close to the truth.

Here's another good headline from the site
