(3,974 posts)Maybe going for 85% this time.
Also, by going to Madison, the campaign minimizes the impact of any Romney appearance in another part of the state. I wonder where he could appear in "downtown" Madison? I'd love to see 150,000 people show up at the Capitol again, though that probably can't happen.

Barack, Bob, And Bruce together on stage would be very cool.

(34,658 posts)and the President will be there between 9:30am and 11:00am. Call the Madison OFA office(608) 620-1893 if you want to volunteer- you will have to show up for a meeting Sunday at 9pm and be onsite Monday at 6am but you'll be in on all the excitement and you'll get a parking spot! And maybe you'll get closer to the President too.

(34,658 posts)and I can honestly say it was one of the most exciting days of my life. I worked in "security" loading the people who got to be in the front because they got there earliest. So we had to make them get rid of their drinks and such before they were screened by the Secret Service. But we also got to talk to people who came from all over. And at one point I remember another volunteer tapped me on the shoulder and said "turn around"... and thats when the whole place was just filled with wall to wall people, before anyone had started speaking.
I think its that much more exciting when its the day before the election, when its held at the Capitol, and when there is so much at stake, Throw in the election of Tammy Baldwin and this is one big day in Madison!
At the end my hand was in the sea of hands that was reaching out to touch Senator John Kerry's hand. I will always feel a great sense of loss that we never got to have him as our president. We were robbed.
