This will be interesting...straight line wind event building over L. Michigan

with a big temp drop on the backside.

It was over 100 just outside Milw at 5pm. Could be 25 or more degrees cooler in less than an hour.

14. Yep. Hurricane force winds traveling in a straight line

It made a mess from Indiana to the Atlantic Ocean. Wind gusts of 80 mph. Millions of people without electricity.

I really hope the weather event mentioned in the OP is not serious.

9. Apparently strong enough to make a couple of power outages.

Small outages on both the north and south side near the lake.

5. It's very hard on folks who aren't acclimated...

ambulance came and took away one of the SO's neighbors late this afternoon.

It'd be great to get a blast of cool air.

Climate change is a myth.

11. This looks to be bringing air temps right down to the dewpoint...thunderstorms

popping up all over as the cool air is moving inland.

there was a micro-burst less than 500 feet from me and my car didn't even get wet.

16. We're getting more rain in Appleton right now.

Finally.

Over the past few weeks we've put out trays of water, we have four bird baths in the yard and a little fountain on the deck. The poor birds and critters (even hornets) have been at them constantly for a drink. This rain is truly welcome and a bit more is coming it looks like!
