What's going on with the John Doe investigation of Walker?

Does "winning" the recall stop the investigation?

1. I've been wondering the same thing.

One shouldn't have anything to do with the other, for sure.

4. Two things

general rule of thumb is no arrests or prosecutions 60 days before or after an election

and

Tim Russell, his former deputy chief of staff who was stealing from the veterans fund (the one who was "leaking" info to the press re the John Doe) isn't due back in court until about September.

Look for more info to come (if any) around then.

5. Where did the 60-day rule-of-thumb moratorium come from?

Just wondering.

6. I heard of that rule also

Actually, what I heard was three months before or after an election. I'm not sure where it came from. I think it's just an unwritten rule to keep any prosecution from looking political.

7. ah... that makes sense. Thank you.

Still, I'd love to see Walker indicted right now.
