250-300 people kicked out of Kenny Chesney concert

GREEN BAY, Wis. — Police say as many as 300 people were kicked out of country music stars Kenny Chesney and Jason Aldean's concert at Lambeau Field in Wisconsin.

Press-Gazette Media (http://gbpg.net/1ByenkU ) reports that between 250 and 300 people were tossed from Saturday's concert, compared to the average of 25 ejections during Green Bay Packers' games last season.

Green Bay Capt. Paul Ebel, who oversaw concert police operations, says he couldn't recall handling an event so busy for police at the stadium. Concertgoers were ejected mostly for fighting, harassment and extreme intoxication.

Police said 25 people were arrested at the concert, which drew roughly 53,000 people. During Chesney's 2011 concert at Lambeau Field, 15 people were arrested and 60 ejected.

When Packer fans, or fans in general, are ejected from a game an incident report must be written up. If they are season ticket holders their ejection is noted and it can count against them as a black mark that could lead to loss of their season tickets.

The concert goers were just regular schmoes and if they acted out, they were gone. Boom. No paperwork or reports. That's one reason for the disparity in ejection numbers.

All alcohol sales were stopped at the beginning of Chesney's set.

Edited to add: There were Chesney fans set up in campers and even a semi-truck with a pop out bar up to two days before the concert in areas around the stadium. One group had a flat panel t.v. set up and a portable camp fire.
