Wisconsin ranks last of all the states for new business start-up activity, according to a major survey released June 5.
Milwaukee fared little better, coming in 39th among the nations 40 largest metropolitan areas.
The Kauffman Index of Entrepreneurship is the first and largest study tracking entrepreneurship across city, state and national levels for the United States. Produced by the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation, the index is one of the worlds most respected and cited entrepreneurship indicators in the nation.
This years new, expanded index measures such entrepreneurial activity as new companies and company growth rates.
In last years index, Wisconsin ranked 45 five states higher than in 2015.

What I do not understand is that with things going to shit in such a hurry, what is wrong with Wisconsinites that they seem to go along with it?
