KUOW wants your comments on the 2012 election
Hello sources,
I couldn’t wrap my head around writing to you with an election query last week. But this weekend my thoughts turned to school for the teenagers, to serious commitments, then to the realization that my miniscule pumpkins were running out of time again. It is nearly fall, and November 6 is no longer far away. At KUOW we’re in a mixed mode of election planning and execution. Our Green Room – the room for people awaiting their time on air – is full of candidates in smart suits. But that’s true for every election. What’s special now? Sources! Back in 2008 we didn’t have a network of sources like you to draw upon. Now we have 5,000 and we want to put them to great use. There will be opportunities for sources on the news as well as news programming. And without saying too much while plans are afoot, we are working on plans to get members of the community together to talk about key issues. I’ll let you know more as soon as I do.
