Navy Federal Credit Union to Add 600 Jobs at Vienna HQ

March 19, 2015 4:53 PM

VIENNA, Va. — The world’s largest credit union is expanding its headquarters and plans to bring 600 new jobs to Fairfax County as a result. ... Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe and the Navy Federal Credit Union announced the $115 million expansion Thursday.

The expansion plans call for a new four-story, 234,000-square foot office building on an 11-acre site in the town of Vienna that will be connected to the existing headquarters by an elevated walkway.

NFCU has more than 5 million members with more than $63 billion in assets and is open to all Department of Defense and Coast Guard active duty, civilian personnel, contractors and their families. Worldwide, it employs more than 12,000.

The state is providing a $1 million grant through the Governor’s Opportunity Fund as part of the deal.

I've been a member for about 40 years. Between that and USAA, I couldn't ask for better service, benefits.
