from Jack Trammell

On this day, when we pause to remember the events of 9-11, I want to say thank you to the women and men in uniform who protect our freedom each and every day. They are the ones who allow us to rest peacefully at night.

Our son Daniel returned from Afghanistan wounded, and our family knows first hand how difficult it is for our veterans to navigate our healthcare and support services.

I believe it’s time for America to deliver on its promises to our veterans. This day, and when elected, I promise to support legislation to improve the lives of our veterans, no matter which battle and for all generations.

As a veteran I would like to see the same awareness and commitment to non-veterans that are facing equally challenging and desperate circumstances.
