Related: About this forumPoll: 67 percent of Texas Republicans want to impeach Obama
Just in case you had any doubt that Texas Republicans were a breed apart, consider this statistic:
According to a new Public Policy Polling survey, 67 percent of Texas Republicans would like to see President Barack Obama impeached and removed from office.
One GOP elected official Rep. Steve Stockman of Friendswood has suggested impeaching the second-term president because of his executive actions related to guns.
Because Texas has so many Republicans, the overwhelming GOP support for impeachment translates into 39 percent backing among all Lone Star State voters. We dont have any national numbers, but wed guess that impeachment has microscopic support outside of the Deep South.

That percentage seems consistent to what I hear from most of my right-wing family members and discussions in the neighborhood. Oh well...

(4,695 posts)with President Obama. The 2nd Amendment calls for REGULATIONS. That is the responsibility of the President AND CONGRESS. I am sick and tired of elephant piss.
And if there is a disagreement, then why act like a lunatic piss ant extremist (Cruz) over the responsibility to regulate the 67 % polled Texas Republican Militia? And I do mean GOP militant piss ants, trying to sting Obama.

(4,879 posts)I don't think our lopsided representation reflects the true breakdown of the populous. 67% of Republicans, tells me that the majority of the people are behind Obama. In 1971, when I bought my house, every yard had Dem signs. Now there are no signs. The feeling is, the Dems come here to raise money to spend elsewhere, but put no effort into backing good candidates here. It's very discouraging to go to the polls and find a dozen Republicans running unopposed. Jeb Hensarling doesn't win because people love him. He wins because he is the only candidate.

(4,879 posts)and we are blue for the most part, but my Rep is a dumbass podunk from far east Texas (which, by the way, produced some of the best yellow-dogs ever). Ever since Karl Rove stole the Governorship for W, The Democratic Party has abandoned this state.
