Chopper lights up Colorado City building, SWAT teams ready to roll UPDATE 9:45 PM

COLORADO CITY - Two SWAT teams are on standby and a helicopter is hovering over a building here where three suspects in an early morning shoot-out on Interstate 20 are holed up.

Reporter-News staffer John Mangalonzo believes a break in a standoff that began mid-afternoon is about to happen.

It's the first time the darkened building has been illuminated.

Earlier in the day, gunfire was exchanged on the interstate in Mitchell County. A DPS officer was involved but not injured.
