Just in: UPDATE: I20 shooting suspects barricaded inside Colorado City home

The three suspects who allegedly shot several times at a Texas Department of Public Safety Trooper during a high speed pursuit this morning has barricaded themselves inside a home in Colorado City.

Authorities said the suspects are refusing to come out of the house on Austin Street just south of Loop Business 20. Senior Trooper Sparky Dean said the neighborhood has been evacuated and several law enforcement officers are at the scene, including a SWAT team.

The standoff began late this afternoon.

ORIGINAL STORY: A Texas Department of Public Safety trooper was working stationary radar Monday morning on Interstate 20 in Mitchell County.

1. Just up the road from here.

Okie plates? Wonder if they were headed west or east on 20? We live in a huge meth lab area with ties all over the country. Wonder if that could have anything to do with it?
