1. Who *ARE* these people?

They are the 1% of the 1%.
They would think Romney was just a butler. |

2. Speaking as a Texan,
|
I can only say that these people believe Texas is as corrupt as its PR would have people believe, and in fact maybe it is right now, but that's going to change. Eventually we will run these redneck teabaggers out of town and turn this state blue again the way it was meant to be.

3. Yes, that is one of the reasons I stayed away from Austin this weekend.
|
Along with recuperating from oral surgery.
It must be nice to have money to blow so extravagantly. |

7. My Reasons For Staying Away From Austin......

....comprise a steadily-increasing list. And yet all those DU Texas-bashers keep telling me that Austin is the Only Cool Place In The State. They must know something I don't know, I guess..... |

9. Once upon a time...

when I moved to Austin 18 years ago, I came here because it was a sleepy big "small town".
I remember seeing stray dogs wandering on Lavaca while I sipped my coffee at the Ruta Maya on a Sunday mornings. That above image is so completely alien now it breaks my heart. My GF and I are now looking to move and find that big "small town" of a liberal variety again. My predition is this: Austin will put in a bid within 5 years to have a profession sports team located here. It won't be baseball or football, but something else. That will be the last nail in the coffin for me. |

4. Good Grief. For a stupid auto race. How would one "drop a yacht into Town Lake"?????
|
Actually, it's Lake Lady Bird, (or Lady Bird Lake) who is turning over in her grave I'm sure. Glad I'm not there any more to see such craziness in Austin.
