How the Galveston Daily News was delivered today.... no, this is NOT a joke.
That is a sticker/advertisement stuck on everyone's front page.

3. Looks like a stick-'em ad for a credit union debt consolidation scheme stuck on your newspaper. . .
|
Peel it off, throw it away. It shouldn't impact your ability to read the 'paper.

6. I agree. Advertising debt preparation for Black Friday is disgraceful. But. . .
|
it's a big part of what keeps the present economic model functioning so deleting it entirely without first introducing an alternate economic system would be a grievous mistake.

8. The point is, putting a sticker about "Black Friday" across the face of the first black president
|
the day after he wins re-election is tacky.

5. I remember one airline had to apologize for

a newspaper ad that ran on 9/11. It made a pun on the word Buy but the headline included the words "Bye bye." — over a photo of a plane. The ad ran on the same week the terrorists brought down the towers.
That one was booked weeks in advance and couldn't be changed. It should have been pulled, but no one thought to. These things happen, is what I'm saying. But these adhesive ads can be pulled on the fly, just skip a step. I'm inclined to conclude this was deliberate. They knew Romney would lose. |
