Mario Marquez: First person executed under Dubya regime

And had the adaptive skills of a seven year old. We just witness Texas imposing unconstitutional executions on the mentally handicapped over this past summer with Marvin Lee Wilson and three years ago with Bobby Wayne Woods. This goes to show you how cruel and unusually the death penalty really is, with time to call for an abolishment of capital punishment in general.

1. Totally agree with you

Death penalty is cruel and unusual especially in Texas where the people on death row are way more likely to be people of color and lower economic race. The justice system in Texas is also cruel and unequally applied.

2. What I'm outraged about this story

Is how what Texas is doing in this sentence is basically killing a pre adolescent child who can't gasp right from wrong. There was a Supreme Court landmark case 10 years ago when the court agreed to barred the executions of those that had the mental capacity of a pre adolescent child and Texas already ignored the decision with the execution of Marvin Wilson this past August, a mentally challenged man who almost cut off his circulation a number of times according to his family.

3. As the climate is warming up to the North, look for an exodus out of Texas.
