Ted Cruz's Very First Adventure With Socialized Medicine?Last edited Thu Aug 2, 2012, 11:27 AM USA/ET - Edit history (1)
As most of us Texas DU'ers have noticed, the Tea Party candidate's family left Cuba before the bearded guy took over in 1959 (Some folks would call Papa Cruz an economic migrant, NOT a political refugee). And furthermore, the Tea Party darling was born in (gasp) CANADA!
Before letting other DU'ers comment about Cruz's hypocrisy about being born in a foreign country and then turning around and demanding that those foreign-children taken by their parents to the US as minors should be deported, I did a bit of finger-counting. As I recall, Cruz is 41. Doing a bit of careless finger-counting, that would make him born in 1970. That was in Pierre Trudeau's Canada, not in commie Fidel Castro's Cuba and not here in 'murrica under our "free-enterprise" health care system. So baby Ted-ito was a very early beneficiary of Canada's socialist "gummint-run" health care system, wasn't he? And he wants to complain about "socialized medicine"? Hypocrite.

That might prove an interresting talking point. Let's see how Ted likes the medicine his right-wing buddies have attempted to feed to the President!
