'Strong Arm' Texas lawyer Brian Loncar died of 'toxic effect of cocaine,' medical examiner rules
A medical examiner has determined the cause of death for prominent North Texas attorney Brian Loncar was cocaine use, WFAA reports.
Loncar, 56, died just days after his daughter committed suicide and the Dallas County medical examiner says his cause of death was "the toxic effect of cocaine," with secondary causes of hypertension - which is abnormally high blood pressure - and heart disease. The overdose was "accidental," according to the examiner.
Loncar was found dead two days after burying his 16-year-old daughter, Grace, who had committed suicide after battling depression her whole life. He was a lead attorney in civil litigation and was known as "The Strong Arm" in a series of television commercials across North Texas for years.
He left behind his wife, Sue, and five children: David, Patrick, Sally, Hailey and Abby.
