Rick Perry reportedly no longer paying presidential campaign staff
Arturo Garcia
10 Aug 2015 at 22:27 ET
Former Texas Gov. Rick Perry (R) has stopped paying his presidential campaign staff, the Texas Tribune and Washington Post reported late Monday night.
The lack of paid labor was initially thought to affect Perry staffers in South Carolina. However, the two newspapers cited an anonymous source saying that the issue has spread to the former governors offices in Iowa and New Hampshire, as well as his campaign headquarters in Austin, Texas.
Katon Dawson, the chair of Perrys efforts in South Carolina, confirmed that he and his five fellow staff members there had moved to volunteer status.
According to the Tribune, aides for the former governor and a PAC supporting him vowed to carry on, with Perry scheduled to appear in South Carolina on Thursday and Iowa next week.

(12,157 posts)1. So pRick AKA Good Hair is out of money
but the loyal pRickistas are carrying on faithfully. This is a model of what Perry want for all the rest of us- Work without pay. I guess that is the hidden plank of the puke party platform, the one that gives way and drops you in the shark tank.

ala the Rmoney staff. Those poor saps were left to get back home on their own dime. Might be a new Survivor scenario could be developed from that.
