Dallas attorney pleads guilty in vodka investment fraud

DALLAS — A Dallas attorney faces up to 25 years in prison after pleading guilty in a nearly $1.6 million vodka investment scam.

Andrew Lee Siegel remained free on bond Wednesday pending sentencing later this year.

The 54-year-old Siegel on Tuesday pleaded guilty to mail fraud. Prosecutors in Dallas say Siegel in July pleaded guilty to a copyright infringement charge.

Investigators say Siegel in 2010 established companies to produce and bottle vodka and secured almost $1.6 million from more than 30 investors.
