Obama to meet with Gov.-elect Greg Abbott on Friday
WASHINGTON — President Obama will meet Friday with one of his top Texas antagonists, Governor-elect Greg Abbott.
A White House aide said today the president will meet with a number of newly elected governors “to discuss the ways in which the administration can partner with states in promoting economic opportunity and expanding security for middle class Americans.
“The President and the incoming Governors will discuss how we can build on our growing economy by creating more jobs and ensuring that every American who works hard has an opportunity to succeed,” the aid said.
Vice President Joe Biden also will meet with the governors.
