Bond Set At $4 Million For Accused Texas Courthouse Gunman
BEAUMONT (March 15, 2012)—Bartholomew Granger, 41, the defendant in a family dispute who’s accused of shooting an elderly woman to death as she tried to run inside the Jefferson County Courthouse in Beaumont, was held Thursday in lieu of $4 million bond.
The 79-year-old woman was a random victim, authorities said.
Granger, who was charged with one count of murder Thursday morning, is also accused of wounding three other people Wednesday, including his daughter and the daughter's mother.
A second bystander was also injured.
