Is Corbett Having State Employee Compile Enemies List on State Time? (Dennis Roddy)Last edited Mon Sep 10, 2012, 05:01 PM USA/ET - Edit history (2)
A Post-Gazette reporter named Dennis Roddy always seemed to have the inside scoop from Tom Corbett for his news articles during the Governor campaign. All of the leaks from Corbett's campaign and AG office always seemed to flow right down to Roddy, who provided lots of favorable coverage. Right after the election, he was hired by Corbett as a state employee to handle communications. A person with the username DennisRoddy has even recently appeared on DU to defend Corbett.
http://www.thepennsylvaniaprogressive.com/showDiary.do?diaryId=4321 Now, there are allegations on the link that State employee Dennis Roddy has been doing political work during his workday, including investigating critics of Corbett and passing that information onto other journalists. Much much more at the link.

1. Hmmm. That's quite interesting.

Last edited Mon Sep 10, 2012, 05:58 PM USA/ET - Edit history (1) The Post Gazette lost a lot of customers when they backed Tom Corbett, even though it seems like Dennis Roddy got what he wanted out of that mistake.
On edit: Good find! |

2. DennisRoddy had his DU posting privileges revoked after only one post
|
His posting was blocked as a malicious right wing troll after making a post trying to defend Corbett's long delay in investigating and prosecuting Sandusky.

3. Well, if he was here,
|
he has added many of us to his list-----Curmudgeoness, JPZenger, et al. LOL
But in all seriousness, why would any of us be surprised by this? What amazes me is that this is the only employee they found who is doing it. |

4. I would just like to say that I had no involvement in getting Roddy blocked on this site
|
If he is making up his list for state government retribution, I would just like the honorable Mr. Roddy to know that I had absolutely no involvement in getting him blocked from DU. I am just a little volunteer assistant moderator who only checks in to make sure no one on the PA. site is insulting the President.

5. me neither

Whatever else I think of him (nothing much good) I do have to give grudging respect for posting under his real name, on the AWF site as well as here. He could have taken a username like another troll we had a while back, hung around telling lies and obfuscations against Joe Sestak for quite some time before tombstoned.
Sigh. I just assume Big Brother is watching me, and go ahead speaking my mind anyway. I lived a suppressed life for way too long, not wanting to argue with a teabagger ex and fearing the loss of my job from my evil corporate overlord. I hope I'm near the top of their fucking list. Off to like AWF on the facebook. |

6. I'm with you on this one.

I also assume I am watched, and it will not silence me. And that spills over into real life, where everyone knows where I stand---and why. I am the token liberal at work, because they also know exactly where I stand.
Stand tall, Pat Riot. |
