Truck collision spills Marcellus drilling mud into Lycoming Co. creek

An estimated 2,000 gallons of drilling mud spilled from the overturned truck, as well as 100 to 150 gallons of diesel fuel from the truck behind.

Amazing how the industry and their media are able to sell this toxic crud as "mud". Mud sounds so benign and harmless, and this crap is anything but.

The beautiful Susquehanna River deserves better than this.

On the plus side, at least they weren't dumping it directly into the tributaries this time. There are a few processing centers (one near Philadelphia), but transporting it is dangerous and this is an obvious example.
