In one of his latest ads, he advocates off shore drilling and "natural gas extraction", so why is he still even a contender in this stupid race for governor (not to mention he's leading in the polls right now)?
I swear! I've lived in NC my whole life, and suffered through the insanity that was Jesse Helms, but every single election season I'm blown away by the level of ignorance and selfishness of the state I call home. What the hell is wrong with these people?

2. Didn't polling show support for fracking in NC?
|
If I remember, depending on how it was phrased, there was support for fracking, even among many Dems, even more independents.
McCrory needs to be hit on his tax returns and his lobbying job. Dalton's current ad seems pretty good as an intro. McCrory has a smirk that should be used effectively against him. |

3. There is something skeevy about McCrory
|
I know that's not reason enough to vote against someone, but I absolutely cannot stand to even look at him, much less listen to him. Yes he does have a smirk that is annoying, but it's more than that. He's totally false, and it seems like people either don't know it or don't care.

4. Because only a small section (where i live) will be affected by fracking

McCrory's smirk chills my soul.

6. Indy week had an article about that.
|
About half of North Carolinians don't even know what fracking is. Those that do know are split about evenly. 27 against and 24 for. I would have thought more people would be aware of fracking. I still think democrats could make a big issue out of this.

7. Too bad our Democrats aren't much of an opposition to it.

8. Yes, sadly I believe you're right.

Especially after the veto vote.

5. I don't get it either.
|
I think the democrats should make a big deal out of fracking. If people understood it, I think most would be against it.
