Ryan impact on NC

I posted a couple of times in a long thread earlier regarding Romney "bus" tour in NC on Sunday:

http://www.democraticunderground.com/?com=view_post&forum=1002&pid=1121723

Couple of fairly long posts. Probably need to look at posts around my two, particularly those by frazzled.

My impression is that Ryan isn't generating that much excitement in the GOP base, and he is probably going to scare a lot of independents here. Suspect Ryan will cause big problems for McCrory and his carefully constructed image as a non-scary Republican who can appeal to independents.

Thoughts?

1. i hope you're right.

a co-worker says flatly mcrory will win. she plans to vote for dalton but does not believe he stands a chance. i'd like to believe that dalton has a chance.
i keep thinking that the republicans should have generated plenty of buyer's remorse since 2010. but i think now that people don't pay attention generally. another woman i work with said to me very gravely the other day, "i ued to be a democrat." she added two words to explain her change of mind: small business.
wouldn't just a little bit of research reveal that her small business would be better served by a democratic administration? at any rate the conversation is over. we're back to hi how are you i'm fine me too.

2. Hope so, too.

McCrory already running from Ryan Budget.

Did your coworker say that after selection of Ryan?

Latest polls are probably closer for governor than they appear. Nearly all the undecided in that race are voting for Obama!

4. small crowds

I didn't feel like the crowds were anything to get excited about. One report said it was hot Sunday, but it wasn't - it was down right cool compared to what it has been. I would have thought Mooresville could have drawn a much larger group. Esp with the new and oh so exciting vp pick.

Plus, considering they flew into Charlotte, I think they got Mooresville and Morrisville (original location) mixed up.
