Protect North Carolina's Red Wolf

The NC Wildlife Resource Commission’s has asked the US Fish and Wildlife Services (USFWS) to declare the red wolf extinct and shut down one of the most successful endangered species reintroduction programs in history – the Red Wolf Recovery Program. With fewer than 100 red wolves remaining in the wild it’s imperative that the USFWS take a strong stand to protect them. Take action below and tell the USFWS to protect NC’s red wolves.

By signing this petition, you are making a real difference! We’ll keep you up to date on this issue and other pressing North Carolina environmental and public health issues in our weekly Public Alert email. Thanks!

I posted this petition a couple weeks ago (& of course signed)

Predators are such a vital part of the ecology. To let them disappear, even aid in it is downright stupid and shows no thought towards future.

A few links to illustrate:

This will change your vuew of apex predators:

I'm happy to sign and also to share on facebook. I didn't know there was a wolf population in North Carolina. I feel these animals should definitely be preserved. Living in South Carolina near the North Carolina border, I visit often. It's a beautiful, beautiful state.

this latest crop of Republicans are like something out of a Tokien novel. What can one say? We just keep asking, why? And we should keep asking.
