We voted at the Lake Lynn early voting site today and I ran into Secretary of State Elaine Marshall. It was nice to speak with her again (I worked on her campaign for office in 1996 when she won office against Richard Petty). We reminisced about how much fun we had though she didn't think so at the time. It was because things were so hectic when we were in the middle of it, you don't have time to reflect on much until election day when the returns come in. Anyway, a nice moment to the day.
PS-voting was heavy there.

(28,787 posts)i'm the heavy woman with the adorable chihuahua - but it's been some time since i've walked by the lake regularly, because my adorable chihuahua developed a very bad back and cannot walk that far anymore. and, i'm tired.

(11,441 posts)I understand being tired. I've got all sorts of nervous energy because of this election, the storm, too many infuriating Frontline episodes -- I actually started tearing down my screened porch a few days ago. Felt good to HAMMER stuff!
I'll keep my eyes peeled future walks -- ya never know.
