Four emergency workers at scene of Eric Garner chokehold tragedy put on modified duty, Rev. Al Sharpton asks, ‘have we gotten so cold?’

BY ALFRED NG , EDGAR SANDOVAL , CAITLIN NOLAN , LAURA BULT , DANIEL BEEKMAN NEW YORK DAILY NEWS

Four emergency workers who responded to the scene of Eric Garner’s deadly Staten Island arrest have been put on modified duty, the Fire Department said Sunday amid outrage over the violent collar and lack of medical care provided to the heavyset father of six as he lay dying on the sidewalk.

Two NYPD cops involved in the incident had already been pulled from the street Saturday.

Garner died after one officer put him in a chokehold and other cops helped bring him down. He repeatedly called out, “I can’t breathe,” then went still, as bystanders taped the tragic incident.

The emergency workers are not FDNY employees, FDNY spokesman Jim Long said. Rather, they are voluntary workers from Richmond.

This guy as far as I could tell in the video didn't do anything to warrant this treatment.

God almighty, I am not a cop hater but this is horrible.
