So my wife and I, with some trepidation headed out to mingle at the Brookline Democrats Spaghetti Dinner. The last time we went to one of these things there were like 12 people in the room. It was uncomfortably empty. Awkward. All you wanted to do was leave, but you'd be taking 16% of the house with you.
The place was packed. Energized. Good speakers, Anne Kuster was there, she's running to take back the seat Charlie Bass swiped in 2010. Jackie Cilley, running to replace Lynch for governor spoke and spoke well. Almost all the candidates running are women - they seem to be very motivated this year for some reason.
The food wasn't bad either. Things may be looking up.
