Peacestock is a great event. I love how we can be in the outdoors as we listen to these incredible speakers and talk to them before and after. Hangout with like minded people at a beautiful hobby farm full of flowers.
http://www.peacestockvfp.org/about-peacestock/speakers David Swanson, Josh Ruebner and Fr. Roy Bourgeois will be speaking at Peacestock July 14th On July 14th, 2012, the 10th Annual Peacestock: A Gathering for Peace will take place at Windbeam Farm in Hager City WI. Peacestock (formerly "Pigstock") is a mixture of music, speakers, and community for peace in an idylic location near the Mississippi, just one hour's drive from the Twin Cities of Minnesota. Peacestock is sponsored by Veterans for Peace, Chapter 115 and has a peace-themed agenda. *************************************** "I’m so honored to be speaking at Peacestock 2012 this Saturday, July 14, at Windbeam Farm in Hager City , Wisconsin with two amazing activists: David Swanson, author and founder of War Is a Crime, and Fr. Roy Bourgeios, founder of School of the Americas Watch. I'm looking forward to hearing David and Father Roy speak about the important issues they work on. As for me, I'll be speaking about how U.S. policy enables Israeli occupation of and apartheid toward Palestinians, and more importantly, what we can do as concerned U.S. citizens to change our country's policies to support human rights, international law, and equality in Israel/Palestine. I hope that you can join me this Saturday for what is sure to be an inspiring, educational event with lots of great opportunities to organize for peace and justice. " Sincerely, Josh Ruebner National Advocacy Director ***************** $30 per individual, $50 per couple, and $10 per student. Children free!
