Former Bristol Community College police officer awarded $2.45 million in harassment case
FALL RIVER A former campus police officer at Bristol Community College was awarded $2.45 million by a Superior Court jury Monday in her lawsuit alleging a long campaign of sexual harassment by university police and administration officials.
Susan Ledouxs lawsuit spelled out in great detail years of harassment which she endured starting in 2003. In March of this year, Judge Angel Kelley Brown rejected a defense plea for summary judgment, leading to the trial that began earlier this month in Bristol Superior Court.
The record reveals that over the course of several years, (Ledoux) complained that (Vasco) Cordeiro and other male officers treated her poorly because she is a woman.
That included insubordination by other officers that she outranked and was expected to supervise.
