Urgent: Minimum wage bill in Maryland in Danger.

Our $10.10 minimum wage bill is in trouble in the Maryland Senate.

How is that even possible? Especially considering that the House of Delegates has passed it, Governor Martin O’Malley has been pushing for this higher wage and 70 percent of Marylanders support the increase?

I'll tell you why - lobbyists for big box retailers and fast food companies have been bombarding state senators to water the bill down until it is ineffective.

Now its up to us to put the pressure on lawmakers to do the right thing. Please take a minute to send a letter to your state senator urging them to give Maryland's low wage workers a raise.

Lobbyists for big businesses and fast food restaurants are trying to call the shots in Annapolis and they are on a mission to chip away at the bill and keep wages as low as possible. We need your help to fight back NOW.

Hardworking adults and young people across the state deserve to be paid fairly for their work. Let’s make our senators do their job and act for interests of low-wage workers across our state.

Please take a minute to send a letter to let lawmakers know that you want a higher minimum wage that gives all workers a raise.

Thank you for your activism,

Mat Hanson
